Halsteads Barn is located within and close to some of the country's most dramatic scenery, standing within the Forest of Bowland, designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. Situated 3 miles from the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and is just 30 minutes drive from the Lake District and the coast. Surrounded by glorious countryside, walking is available right from the door on to the moors amongst which the house nestles.
The house itself whilst retaining many of the traditional features of the original barn, has been sympathetically extended and incorporates the kind of features only found in a luxury hotel.
All 3 bedrooms have been individually designed (1 Super King, 1 King and 1 Double). They all have spacious power showers, TV, DVD ( a DVD library is also available during your stay), Radio/Alarm, Kettle and hospitality tray. To make your stay even more comfortable you will find fluffy white robes, slippers, hairdryers and a selection of toiletries in all rooms.
At Halsteads Barn you can be sure of personal attention, and are encouraged to use the full facilities of the house.
Walking through the door, the impressive minstrels gallery with its huge beams affords a spacious seating area where you can take advantage of the varied reading material available, or relax in the outdoor hot tub with only the sound of the stream running past and the multitude of birds that are resident on the moor.
The half acre garden area includes a pond where you can sit and enjoy the antics of the pet ducks or take in the spectacular and uninterrupted views of the Majestic Ingleborough, Penny Ghent and Whernside. The large fireplace with wood burning stove creates a welcoming atmosphere in the comfortable lounge where afternoon tea can be taken.
At Halsteads Barn we pride ourselves on a fine table and extensive wine and drinks list. The dinning room provides an unhurried breakfast from Fruit and Yoghurts to porridge and full English. Evening Meal is four courses (starter, main, pudding, cheese board, Tea/Coffee). Wherever possible we source our produce from local farms/suppliers and all our meals are cooked to order on the AGA.
