You will be greeted by the friendly and enthusiastic owners, Katrina and Derek Gray, and crossing the threshold you will enter a world of relaxed elegance.

The Wold Cottage, originally a Georgian city gentleman’s country retreat, sits in beautifully landscaped grounds where fruit and vegetables are grown for the table and a woodland provides a haven for wildlife. Perfectly unspoilt views extend over its own 300 acre farmland to the Yorkshire Wolds beyond.

Bedrooms at The Wold Cottage are all spacious and individually styled with sumptuous furnishings, and each has a generous en-suite bathroom.  There is a choice of four-poster, twin-bedded and double rooms, as well as a family room with double and twin beds.

Thoughtful touches of luxury are all part of the Wold Cottage experience, including tv, cd-radio, a hot-drinks tray with welcome biscuits or cake plus bottled mineral water. Quality toiletries are there for you in the bathroom along with fluffy towels and bathrobes.

Food is very important at The Wold Cottage, with great emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. Indeed many of the fruit and vegetables are produced in The Wold Cottage garden!

Breakfast and evening meals are served in the elegant dining room which overlooks the garden, and Katrina and Derek are licensed to sell their own Beer as well as offering a selection of modestly-priced wines.
