Gold award winning B&B, Penn Peel Cottage is a delightful country cottage dating back to 1860 which is full of charm and character. A very warm welcome awaits you.
The cottage is situated on a quiet country lane on the outskirts of the picturesque rural village of Bomere Heath.
This is a village gone back in time located 4 miles north of Shrewsbury, the county town of Shropshire. With views towards Pim Hill, which rises to 163m and covered in Rhodendrums in early summer, Bomere Heath is easily accessible to Shrewsbury, Ellesmere, Oswestry, Chester, North Wales, Ironbridge Gorge, Church Stretton, Bridgnorth and Ludlow.
We have two luxurious ground floor rooms with en-suites (one with wet room) which are easily accessible. The accommodation is full of character including beams and log burner in the cosy lounge.
A full Shropshire breakfast or continental breakfast is served in the light and attractive dining conservatory. Alternatively, breakfast may be served in your room for ease and convenience.
Within walking distance, there is a public house (Red Lion) with live music nights, shop, post office, fish and chip takeaway, hairdressers with beauty salon, village hall (open to non-members), tennis court, cricket ground and children’s play area.
Fishing can be undertaken at Merrington Green, the River Severn or one of the meres in Ellesmere.
