Chris and George Brandon-Lodge invite you to stay at their farmhouse bed and breakfast in a glorious hilltop setting with majestic views of the Shropshire Hills. It is an ideal place to stay for anyone who loves the peace of the countryside and has some of the best views in Shropshire.

You can leave your car at the house and find long or shorter walks on the surrounding hills which are part of the designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. On clear nights the full impact of the night sky can be appreciated without light pollution.

 

Bed and full English breakfast with our own free range eggs in an interesting menu, including fish options  - real kippers! - and  plenty of choice for vegetarians. Bacon and  sausages are all locally produced and  our marmalades and jams are home-made.

 

The rooms look out over the valley and all have TV and tea and coffee making facilities. There is a separate guests' lounge for relaxing as well as a summer house and if the weather is suitable the terrace is ideal for an evening drink to watch the sun set behind Caer Caradoc.

 

Our rooms are named after the birds which nest in the grounds, Chaffinch is our courtyard room, a double-bedded en suite room with a wonderful view of the valley. It has its own separate door and guests come into the house for breakfast.

 

Now open; Red Kite Cottage: our new luxury en suite room complete with kitchen and private terrace.  Purpose-built in stone and oak with magnificent views on three sides. The room has a king-sized double bed and a bed settee for family use if required.

 

Shropshire has become one of the leading foody areas of the country with Ludlow especially renowned for its wonderful local produce shops.
