Medlars is an attractive stone built converted barn in a lovely rural setting, but within easy walking distance of the charming small town of Yarmouth and the ferry link to Lymington in the New Forest.
Medlars has two pretty bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms, (one en-suite, the other private). The rooms each have television and tea and coffee making facilities.
Breakfast is served in the dining room between 8 and 9.30, but earlier breakfasts can be arranged if you are sailing or catching an early ferry.
Arrivals can be picked up at Yarmouth Quay if you arrange it when booking.
Guest dogs are welcome by arrangement so long as they bring their own beds and guests do not leave them unattended in the room. Liz has two small terriers of her own who are friendly (usually!) to other dogs.
Yarmouth has several pubs and a good variety of restaurants and some interesting shops to browse around. It is a busy yachting harbour so there is plenty to see.
There are some wonderful walks in the surrounding area and the birdlife on the river Yar and the bird sanctuary on the Newtown River are well worth the walk.
Medlars has good off-road parking with a garage for cyclists to put their cycles overnight.
