Leavers Oast was built circa 1880 and originally used for drying and packing hops. It was converted into a home in 1960 and modernised to a very high standard by the present owners, Anne and Denis Turner in 1987.
The lovely gardens that surround the Oast extend to one and a half acres and provide guests with a pleasant area to walk around or relax in.
All rooms are centrally heated, spacious and very comfortably furnished. They have TV and coffee/tea making facilities and comfortable sitting areas.
The main double room, which has an en-suite bathroom, has a lovely view over one aspect of the garden.
There are two further bedrooms in the roundels, one a twin bedded room, the other with a double bed. These again have their own sitting area. Both have pleasant outlooks over the main garden. The bathroom for the roundel rooms is shared and just a few steps away.
A feature of your stay at Leavers Oast is the English Breakfast which offers a wide choice and includes home made bread and preserves. This sets guests up for a day of exploring the many historic houses and gardens in Kent and Sussex.
We take great pleasure in greeting our guests and making them feel part of the family. Our interests in homes, gardens, antiques and art are reflected in the many historic and beautiful houses and estates for which Kent is renowned.
These include castles at Leeds, Hever and Tonbridge, and historic houses at Knole, Chartwell, Penshurst Place and Ightham Mote.
Garden lovers can visit Sissinghurst, Great Comp, Sheffield Park, Marle Place, Great Dixter, Wakehurst Place and Wisley.
Historic towns and villages include Tenterden, Rye, Tunbridge Wells, Goudhurst and Sevenoaks.
