Kester House is a beautiful 16th century Grade II listed home in the bustling conservation village of Sedlescombe, near the historic towns of Hastings, Battle and Rye in the heart of Sussex 1066 country.

We have 3 letting rooms, The Armada, a four poster with en-suite, The Tithe Barn,  which has a private sitting room and bath and the Brede, a small double that also has its own private bathroom.

Our rooms are tastefully designed with your comfort and enjoyment in mind, and each captures aspects of the rich historic character of this part of England.

Our daily breakfast is a lovely blend of continental and cooked options for you to choose from with homemade bread, muffins, jams and a daily special. All our food is, where possible, locally sourced and seasonal.

Kester House is perfectly situated for visiting attractions throughout Kent and Sussex.  We are also just 3 miles from Battle Main Line Rail with fast services to London some 60 miles away.

There are many nearby castles, historic houses, gardens and local inland and coastal towns.  Here is just a sample of the many places to see within a 30 mile radius.  We shall gladly help put together an itinerary to make the most of your stay.
