Welcome to Wheatlands Lodge a traditional family owned and run Lake District residence from around 1860 set in a delightful garden.   Five star boutique bed and breakfast accommodation.

 

The property has been totally refurbished with pride in a contemporary style yet still respecting the house's history by retaining many original features with private parking in a quiet area off the main road yet still within a few minutes walk from the shops, restaurants and train station.

 

From here all the amenities of the Lake District National Park are within easy reach being only a short stroll down to the lake.

Wheatlands lodges' 8 bedrooms, each with its own distinct individual character, are well appointed and spacious with the latest fully coordinated fabrics and soft furnishings and are all en suite with either spar type jacuzzi baths or walk in shower.

 

All rooms have front door and room key so you can come and go as you please. At night we ask guests to respect other guests when returning late in the evening.

 

Windermere is the central location for tourism in the lake district and Wheatlands lodge is ideally situated a couple of minutes walk from the main village with its excellent shops and fine restaurants and bistros.

 

It's easy to get away from the crowds too with stunning countryside just a short distance away and drives over Wrynose & Hardknott pass will bring you to the roman fort.

 

The historic market towns of Kendal & Keswick are within easy reach, as is Ambleside with it's fine array of outdoor clothing shops.
