Holmhead Bed & Breakfast

views from our bedrooms

Brian and Pauline Staff welcome you to Holmhead a former farmhouse which stands uniquely on the foundations of Hadrians wall near the "Centre of Britain" at the southwest corner of the Northumberland National Park.

It is half way between Edinburgh and York, and within an easy drive of the lake district, the heritage coast and the Scottish borders.

Holmhead has 4 cosy bedrooms, shower/toilet for each one. The bedrooms are fully carpeted, have central heating, armchair, radio, hairdryer, plenty of storage space and lovely countryside views.

The generous country breakfasts are something of a social occasion, when the day's plans and walks are discussed. Order as much or as little as you like from 'THE LONGEST BREAKFAST MENU IN THE WORLD'.

When it comes to evening meals, eating at Holmhead is much more like going to a private dinner party than staying in a guest house. Food is served family style with beamed, stone arched dining room, furnished with antiques and a large candlelit oak table.
