Take a relaxing break in an elegant Georgian Country House which is a Grade  11* listed building,  full of character, and dates back to the 1700s when inglenook fireplaces, shuttered windows and panelled rooms were commonplace.

Ideally situated for touring Durham and Northumberland, and only a short drive away from attractions such as Beamish Museum and Durham City.

If you enjoy country walks there are many to choose from – you can wander through the fields down to the Browney River with its rustic picnic area, explore the nearby villages or wander around our farm.

Relax outdoors by the garden pond (a BBQ is available for guests' use) or indoors on one of the many window seats, and enjoy breathtaking views and tranquil scenery for many miles around.

You may even see a deer venturing out of the woodland or foxes playing in front of the house.

Our bedrooms are en-suite and very comfortably furnished. We have three double bedrooms with four-poster beds and en-suite shower rooms, and two en-suite twin rooms - all with colour TV/video and hospitality tray. Ground floor bedrooms with disabled access and family room available.
