Information

The Norfolk Broads is Britain’s largest protected wetland and, with 125 miles of navigable waterways, a popular destination for boating holidaymakers.

Much can also be seen by taking a short walk along the riverbanks. Hoveton and Stalham are ideal gateways to the Broads. From here you can hire a craft for a holiday, a short break or just for the day.

In South Norfolk the countryside extends as far as the eye can see across meandering lanes and rolling fields. An excellent place to enjoy recreational pastimes or to do very little, except relax and unwind.

Attractions

The coastline (an area of outstanding natural beauty) comprises unspoilt beaches, saltmarshes, cliffs, flint villages and nature reserves. Clifftop Cromer is noted for its pier and crabs, whilst at Sheringham, ride on a steam train to the antiques centre of Holt. Visit the port of Wells-next-the-Sea, the pilgrimage centre of Little Walsingham and The Burnhams - Lord Nelsonīs birthplace.

History

Start in the fine city of Norwich, with its historic buildings, cathedral, castle, great shopping and lively arts/cultural scene. North east is Britainīs biggest protected wetland īThe Broadsī. Explore reed-fringed waterways, windmills and nature reserves.
