Hampshire’s countryside is perfect for walking/cycling short breaks, with over 3,000 miles of Rights of Way, long distance paths through stunning scenery and off road cycle trails.

Why not visit Winchester, the ancient capital of Wessex.  It is a beautiful medieval city with lots to see and do including the cathedral and King Arthur's Round Table. 

 

 


Attractions

Hampshire’s famous royal and military connections have provided a great legacy of places to visit, including the world’s finest collection of historic ships, major stately homes and the beautiful New Forest – the old hunting ground of king’s – which is now a protected haven for wildlife.

Visit the Jane Austen House and Museum in the village of Chawton and see where she lived with her mother and sister from 1809 until 1817.

An hour by road/rail from London, Heathrow or Gatwick, places you in the county’s centre. It is a county for all seasons, tastes and ages, where a rich tapestry of stunning scenery weaves a colourful backdrop to the wonderful array of attractions on offer.
