Holmefield is set in the picturesque peak district national park mid-way between bakewell and Matlock and only five minutes drive from Chatsworth and Haddon hall.  It stands in over an acre of mature gardens with uninterrupted views over the Derwent valley and the historic peak rail steam trains, which help to create a touch of nostalgia.

 

Holmefield has been lovingly restored and provides guest accommodation of the highest standard, which has recently been rewarded by the AA 5 star, the very top accolade.  We have nine ensuite guest rooms, six in the main house and three coach house annexe rooms.

 

All the bedrooms are individually designed and decorated and are all, of course en suite. Every imaginable extra has been provided to ensure that your stay is as comfortable as possible and this combined with the personal service of the resident owners, Kate and Geoff, ensure that many visitors return year after year.

 

Excellent evening meals are provided most evenings and are homemade from locally sourced products receiving the good food award by the AA for the past three years.

 

The lounge has an open fire, splendid views and a comprehensive library. Guests are welcome to use this room anytime and relax, perhaps with a complimentary pre-dinner sherry.

 

The dining room features beautiful original mouldings and cornices and forms an excellent backdrop for both breakfast and evening meals. Commanding excellent views over the valley, meals are served at individual tables with produce supplied by our local farm shop.
