Gothic House, set in a quiet courtyard, is situated in the heart of the historic part of Norwich. Within a short distance there is a wealth of elegant Georgian architecture as well as buildings dating from much earlier times. Also, the cathedral and famous Elm Hill are barely more than five minutes walking distance away.

Gothic House is a Grade II-listed building and was built in 1820 (reputedly by a wealthy merchant as a hideaway for his mistress!). The house has been fully refurbished and redecorated and is a completely non-smoking environment to ensure your comfort.

There are two spacious and stylish guest rooms: one double, with a king-sized bed and the other; a twin room with two four-foot beds. Due to the listed status of the house, neither guest room can be altered to create an en-suite. However, there are two bathrooms, one dedicated to each guest room (so there is no need to share). Each bedroom is provided with luxurious bathrobes, Molton Brown toiletries, slippers, TV and tea/coffee-making facilities.

Breakfast is served in the elegant dining room between 8 am and 9.30 am (it can be served earlier or later by request). The traditional ‘English’ breakfast is served, using locally sourced products where possible.

Gothic House is situated in a gated courtyard and there are car parking spaces available. We are also a short taxi journey from Norwich station. Being located close to the heart of the city there are a large number of restaurants nearby for evening meals.
